'LAB 24P' animated logo for
SONY PICTURES ENTERTAINMENT
Sony Pictures Entertainment needed ideas for an animated logo about switching from celluloid film to digital. The logo design was already established, as seen at the bottom of the storyboard page, (but without the burn light), so I had to start with a blank page (screen) and then get to that final logo image.
Page 1 of the storyboard shows old, dark film footage that is flickering with the word 'LAB' on it. A burn light appears on the left side of the screen traveling right. The light illuminates the borders of the celluloid and film perfs. Here is page 2...
I was unable to locate the actual animated logo, so added the sound of old film just for irritating fun!
